A “FUNdraiser” to Help Eliminate Malaria Goals: Every time a $100 is given to The Imagine No Malaria fund, the United Methodist Church, through its four-fold approach, can save a life and help end death and suffering caused by malaria. The United Methodist Church has had 200 years of experience in Africa and is in a good position to use your gifts wisely. The United Methodist Committee on Relief has a four star rating (highest category) by the independent Charity Navigators. Our Northern Illinois Conference wants to save 10,000 lives, and we would like to raise this money by December, 2016. Monday, July 27th Culvers Restaurant on Route 47 in Huntley, will be donating a portion of the sales to Christ United Methodist Church, and we, in turn will be using it for The Imagine No Malaria fund. The amount of money we receive from Culvers will range from 5 % to 20% of the sales; the percentage is on a sliding scale, based on the amount of total sales that evening. The CUMC Mission Team needs your help with this fundraiser. There are many ways to help. Please give this thought; please volunteer in as many ways as you are able. Eating dinner out, or stopping by for delicious frozen custard – it all puts FUN in the word fundraiser. It also provides needed resources for a problem that can be solved in the near future. You can help our church realize our own goal by assisting with this FUNdraiser. We need individuals to

- Encourage their teams, social groups, friends to gather for frozen custard or a beverage
- Volunteer to work a two-hour shift (4:00–6:00pm or 6:00-8:00pm) by delivering food, acting a greeter, cleaning tables etc. The signup sheet is on the church bulletin board
- Send Facebook reminders and emails to friends a few days before the event, encouraging them to stop at the Huntley Culvers on Monday night, July 27th
- Understand the importance of this project and encourage others to support this
