- Encourage their teams, social groups, friends to gather for frozen custard or a beverage.

- Send Facebook reminders and emails to friends a few days before the event, encouraging them to stop at the Huntley Culvers on Monday night, July 27.
- Read our articles in the next newsletters so you know how important this project is, and can encourage others to support this.

“Many Small Acts…One Big Result” Sometimes the problems of others seem too big to tackle. Perhaps you’ve even had this thought when someone mentions the problem of malaria in Africa. This, though is a solvable problem, and the United Methodist Church is in a good position to help eliminate malaria, since we’ve been on the African mission front for over 200 years. We’ve established networks; we have people trained in health and education already working in local African communities in several nations. We just need more dollars for mosquito nets, equipment to drain standing water, medicines and door-to-door “educators.” Your small act – supporting the fundraiser at Culver’s of Huntley (13240 Route 47, Huntley, IL) and/or supporting other fundraisers and/or directly contributing to Imagine No Malaria through CUMC can help our church make our goal. We want to contribute $7,500 by December, 2016. Very simply, for every $100 that is given, it is estimated that one life will be saved. Our local congregation has already contributed some money; now we need to work toward completing our goal. Our church has the goal of saving 75 lives…lives that, without our help could be malaria victims. On Monday, July 27 Culvers Restaurant on Route 47 in Huntley will be donating a portion of the sales to Christ United Methodist Church, and we in turn will be using it for The Imagine No Malaria fund. The amount of money we receive from Culvers will range from 5 % to 20% of the sales; the percentage is on a sliding scale, based on the amount of total sales that evening. You can help our church realize our own goal by assisting with this FUNdraiser. Eating dinner out or stopping by for frozen custard – this puts “FUN” in raising money. We need individuals to:
