Winter is here, even though it doesn’t officially “begin” until December 22nd. With the seasonal change to cold temperatures and all the weather changes that go along with those dropping temps, remember that the full affects of winter will soon be upon us here in Northern Illinois. And as our weather brings not only beautiful white snow, it also brings on additional hardship for those in our community who are less fortunate than ourselves as they try to stay warm during the colder months of winter. Won’t you help our brothers and sisters at PADS, and Each One, Reach One through our Warm Ministry program by donating needed items for this important ministry? Our collection for the “Warm Ministry” goes on throughout winter and includes the following items: NEW coats, hats, gloves, long underwear & shirts, hot hand & foot inserts. We’re also collecting hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, tooth brushes & tooth paste, and laundry soap. You can place your donations in the big silver collection box by the sanctuary doors.
