The 2016 Elgin District Leadership Training Event will be held on Saturday, January 30, at First United Methodist Church, 236 W. Crystal Lake Avenue in Crystal Lake. Registration, a light breakfast, and fellowship will begin at 8:00am, with Welcome & Remarks by Elgin District Superintendent Darneather Murph-Heath at 9:00am. There will be 2 sessions of workshops. The workshops to be offered are: Staff/Pastor-Parish Relations Committee (session 1 or 2); Treasurer/Finance (session 1 or 2); Lay Leader/Lay Member (session 1 only); Ministry of Memory: Archives & History (session 2 only); Low Cost Community Outreach (session 1 only); Welcoming/Hospitality (session 1 only); and Spiritual Formation (session 2 only) Although this is a free event, registration is greatly appreciated.
