Jesus tells us that the greatest commandment is to love. At its heart our faith is all about relationships. The United Methodist Church is committed to fostering positive relationships among individuals and communities through acts of compassion, mercy and reconciliation. Through the Human Relations Day special offering, which is collected by local churches every year, the church supports missions like the Amachi Program in Colorado. This program provides care and support for children of incarcerated parents. Human Relations Day is a ministry that, following the example of Christ, cares for the at-risk, the vulnerable and the forgotten within society. By showing others love, we let them know that they are loved by God.  Watch for the special offering envelope in this coming Sunday’s bulletin.  (click here for a video about “A Moment in Mission: Human Relations Day”)
