This coming Sunday is our celebration of the “SOUPer Bowl of Caring” – this year with a Mardi Gras twist: before the serious season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, indulge in one last silliness for “Fat Tuesday” (“Mardi Gras” in French). During fellowship time, enjoy a little decadent sweet and revelry! As with previous SOUPer Bowls, you vote for your choice to win the Super Bowl by placing nonperishable food donations in the collection box with your team’s logo. But this time, please label your donations with your name (use the tape & marker provided at church). Then, all who chose the winning team will also be winners! They have to wait until Lent is over to claim the prize, but they’ll have all of Lent to decide: “What are we going to do to Pastor Ron on Easter morning?” (Pastor Ron is hoping for a “tie”, nobody wins!) Whichever way you vote, you’ll make the Food Pantry a WINNING TEAM!
