On Sunday, April 10 at 4pm Voices in Harmony (VIH) will present its 50th concert at The Raue Center for the Arts with “A World of Peace and Light.” The program will feature colorful, joyful selections from Alice Parker, Elizabeth Alexander, and Randall Thompson, as well as a performance of Morten Lauridsen’s evocative Lux Aeterna for chorus and chamber orchestra.
Before the concert, VIH will take time to share the stage with this Spring’s community partner, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of McHenry County. CASA provides trained volunteers to advocate for child victims of abuse and neglect in Juvenile Court and in the foster care system. VIH is delighted to shine the spotlight on the important work CASA does in the community and to spread the word about their needs and volunteer opportunities.
