The Women’s Luncheon, “May Day Art!” will be held at the Colonial Café located at 2555 Bunker Hill in Algonquin on Saturday, April 30th from 12:00 noon until 3:30pm . Luncheon beverages will be provided by CUMC; and participants will purchase their lunch directly from Colonial.
During our luncheon, we’ll each be creating our own “Welcome Flower” Painting Door Hanger (you can see a sample painting in the narthex at church). We’ll be receiving excellent stroke-by-stroke instructions on how to do this from our very own Julie Kukreja who’ll lead us through our beautiful painted flower creation and help us discover our hidden artistic talents. Who knows, you might be the next Van Gogh! Join us for a fun afternoon of food, friends and painting. The cost for all the art supplies you will need to make your own May Day masterpiece is only $18. Since our reserved space at the Colonial Café only has room for 30 people, be sure to watch for the signup sheet which will soon be posted at church.
