Reconciling-Ministries-Network-Logo_editedWe invite you to pray for The United Methodist Church’s General Conference which meets next month to consider taking historic actions regarding some highly divisive issues, including the role of Reconciling Ministries and the full inclusion of LGBTQ members in all aspects of church life.

ALL are invited to a Listening Session around these issues with Rev. Will Green, Associate Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Arlington Heights.  The Listening Session will be held here at CUMC at 4:00pm on Sunday, April 24th.

At our next church Administrative Board meeting on April 28, CUMC’s Nominating Committee will propose names for election to our church’s Reconciling Ministries Task Force [RMTF]. (Let us know if you are interested in being included on this Task Force). And the Administrative Board is asked to officially endorse a church letter of prayer support to our General Conference delegation.

At Sunday’s service on May 1 we will include a commissioning of our Reconciling Ministries Task Force.

Also on May 1, we invite you to carpool with us to a showing of “An Act of Love” from 3 to 5 PM, at Naperville Community UMC. For further information contact either Gary Gruebnau or Pastor Ron.
