The 26th Annual McHenry County Children’s Health and Safety Fair will be held on Wednesday, July 27 from 9am-4pm at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake.  Children and their parents will have the opportunity to be educated in an innovative and entertaining way by representatives from more than 50 programs and organizations. This year’s fair also offers a convenient and affordable opportunity to obtain required immunizations, physicals, and dental exams for student through the age of 18. Children under 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian; if not, they must have a signed parent permission slip.
Immunizations and dental exams will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. PARENTS MUST BRING THE CHILD’S UPDATED IMMUNIZATION RECORD. Immunizations are available for $15 to children that meet at least one of the following criteria: uninsured, Medicaid eligible; or underinsured (has insurance but it does not cover immunizations). Dental exams will be offered at a reduced cost of $10. A current Medicaid card will be accepted.
A limited number of school physicals will also be available, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, for children of low-income, uninsured or underinsured families. The cost will be $20; some Medicaid will be accepted. Physical appointments can be scheduled by calling the Family Health Partnership Clinic at 779-220-9300.
