CUMC’s Reconciling Ministries Task Force (RM) is continuing to study the issues surrounding human sexuality.  You will recognize Task Force members by the rainbow ribbon on their name badges.

The Northern Illinois Conference Reconciling Ministries Task Force (RMN) is welcoming all laity and clergy of the Northern Illinois Conference Reconciling Congregations to gather for a post-General Conference 2016 presentation and conversation this Sunday, June 12, 3:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 418 W. Touhy Avenue in Park Ridge. This event will incorporate reflections from our delegation, information on the Council of Bishops’ “The Way Forward” and newly established commission, and local congregation concerns/ideas and suggestions in moving forward in reconciling ministries. Interested persons from throughout the connection are welcome. Membership or appointment to a “reconciling congregation” is not required. All are welcome and all means all.

I would like to invite and encourage anyone who is interested in hearing what the General Conference presented on this issue to ride along to Park Ridge on Sunday.  If you are not able to attend and have questions, please seek out and speak with a member of our Task Force.

For carpooling to Park Ridge on Sunday, please give me a call as soon as possible.

Gary Gruebnau, Chairperson, CUMC Reconciling Ministries Task Force
