Clergy and lay representatives from 11 annual conferences, including the Northern Illinois Conference, gathered from July 13-16 in Peoria, Illinois for the North Central Jurisdictional Conference (NCJ) to elect four new bishops, say goodbye to four retiring bishops and conduct business. Following the consecration service on Saturday, July 16, the chair of the NCJ Episcopacy Committee announced the episcopal assignments for the next four years. We are thrilled that Bishop Sally Dyck returns to the Northern Illinois Conference through 2020.

“I’m delighted to come back to the Northern Illinois Conference,” said Dyck. “We started some big things in the last year to help us as an annual conference become stronger and more efficient to live out our core values of helping resource the local church. We have more work to do and I’m happy to be back to help us move forward.” (click here for Bishop’s Dyck’s video greeting)
