ADDENDUM: It’s been reported that some people have been unable to have our church’s name come up when entering just “Christ United” at the Emergency Closing Center website. If you’ve experienced that problem, please try entering Christ United Methodist (city: Algonquin).
Christ United Methodist Church is now registered with the Emergency Closing Center. The ECC website also publishes our closed status to WGN 720 and WBBM 780 AM radio and all the local Chicago TV stations.
With the impending snowstorms, we are now registered with that site should we need to close due to the weather, and we encourage you to visit that site before you head out for church in the morning. CORRECTION: When you visit the site you will find instructions for searching for our church: Christ United Methodist, in Algonquin; or you can search for the church phone: 8476699009. FYI: You can also sign up at that site to receive closing/status change notifications for our church via email.
ALSO: if you learn that our church is closed, we ask that you please call everyone you know who either does not have email or does not check their email on a regular basis to make sure that they, too know about the closure!
