With the approval of the Administrative Board, the Staff/Parish Relations Committee has hired April Patek as our new Director of Christian Education for Children and Youth. April will begin her work early in October (this month).
April brings experience in teaching music in public schools, internship as Chaplain at Rush University Hospital, Pastoral Internship at Trinity United Methodist Church in Mt. Prospect, and graduated with a Master in Arts in Christian Education from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary this past spring.
Since April is single, she plans to move to this area and, in addition to her work for our church she will be doing substitute teaching.
So let’s all give April a very warm welcome as she becomes an integral part of our Christ Church Family!
