We are partnering with the Huntley Culver’s (12950 S Illinois Route 47) on Monday evening, April 24th.   Our part will be three-fold: first we need workers to deliver food to the table and wipe off the table when the customers leave.   Second, we need all our church family to come sometime Monday evening, April 24th and make a purchase.   Third, we need you to encourage your friends and neighbors (and family if they live nearby) to also come at eat.

We will receive a percentage of all evening sales.  Every sale made during the evening hours will be credited to Christ United Methodist Church.   Customers will not need to give a coupon. Customers won’t need to remember the name of our church.   Culver’s donation will be a percentage of the sales during the time we are working.  The percentage we earn is based on the gross sales that evening.   The more that is sold at the Huntley Culver’s, the greater our percentage.  “It is truly: the more the merrier”…merrier being equated with more money for our church.

This sale will also qualify us to continue to receive checks on the “church bulletin sales on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday.”   Since we are participating in the April Culver’s night, we will continue to receive donations from Culver’s when a current church bulletin is turned in on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday.  If you frequently stop at Culver’s, we recommend that you stop at Culver’s on Sunday, Wednesday and/or Saturday.   Be sure to keep the current church bulletin in your car—just in case you make a stop each week.   When you turn in the church bulletin the Culver’s employee writes the amount of the sale on the church bulletin.   Then every two or three months, Culver’s send our church a check.

If it is possible for you to volunteer on Monday, April 24, please sign-up on the Mission bulletin board in the hallway (the bulletin board closest to the pastor’s office).   If it is possible for you to encourage friends to stop at Culver’s on April 24th, please do.

The money donated by Culver’s to Christ United Methodist Church will be used by the Mission Team for local missions.   We have been supporting several community organizations these past years.  Many of the agencies have made presentations at the Lenten suppers.   We will be using the money made from Culver’s and the February bake sale for mission projects of Christ United Methodist Church.    You will enjoy a frozen custard.   Your purchase will also benefit several community agencies who work with the homeless, the unemployed and those struggling to purchase nutritious food.
