Statistics show that 90% of us know what we would or would not want at the end of our lives. But only 27% of that group actually does anything about their wishes. You’re invited to join Linda Mullen and Pastor Ron for “dinner and conversation about death” on April 30th at 1:30pm. A national organization, Death Over Dinner.org and the local lifemattersmedia.org want to be sure that everyone is prepared for their end-of-life, and is also able to support loved ones. Because this is such an important subject matter, we want all attendees (family members, friends, and neighbors are all invited) to be able to focus on the topic of how to have this important discussion (remember, this is not “the discussion”, but an opportunity to learn how to have “the discussion”). With that in mind, we’ve chosen Pinecrest Golf Club in Huntley to hold our dinner. Use the green reservation form in Sunday’s bulletin to make your reservation—reservations should be turned in no later than April 23rd. You can either place the form with your check (be sure to write ‘Death Over Dinner’ on the memo line) in the offering plate on Sunday, or in the basket on the church secretary’s desk.
