The following communication arrived in the church office:
Good morning,
I am excited to announce that we will host a kickoff meeting for the Kane County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). You are invited to join us as we roll out a revitalized plan for the volunteers of this program. Please save the date:
Where: Kane County Health Department
1240 N. Highland Ave., Aurora (Ste. 23)
When: Saturday, September 16, 2017, 9:00 AM
We ask that you also invite other members of the community that might be interested in volunteering. The MRC is more than a collection of people looking for ways to give back and volunteer their time to make a difference in their communities. It is a gathering of people across the country, each with specific skills, training, and experience that makes them invaluable public health resources in the event of emergencies and disasters. Tornado, disease outbreak, act of terrorism…whatever the event, they react quickly, decisively and effectively. We need volunteers like YOU!
Reasons to volunteer with the Kane County MRC:
- It’s a way to offer your skills and give back to your community
- Free training
- It’s a chance to belong to a group with a strong sense of purpose
RSVP by replying to this email or calling one of the phone numbers below. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to forward this invitation to others. ANYONE can volunteer!!
See you there!
