The people of Christ UMC gathered to take a photo after celebrating “Path to the Future” to dedicate a new church sign.
Last Sunday the “Path to the Future” truly was a sign and example of what God is doing among us and through us. Each and every table shared many ideas and dreams and hopes. And several people shared some of the same ideas: care beyond our church wall, the community center, multipurpose room and building…etc. In their sharing, I could clearly sense the Holy Spirit because they were bold enough to share those visions. This coming Sunday Gary Slagle (Administrative Board Chairperson) will be sharing those ideas and that data to our congregation and presenting further steps. If “vision” is a picture of what God wants to do in His church, and if the key to the “vision” is joining God in what He wants to do in His church, I am all in to catch this “vision” and join in Him! And I am sure you want to catch this “vision” and join in Him, too! Let us continue to be bold and courageous. O God, help us to see as you see.
