A couple of days ago I transplanted 8 pepper seedlings into two large planters in our gated backyard.  While transplanting and watering these young plants, I pictured the day that we would be getting fresh peppers.  But, at the same time, I felt a sense of foreboding that the young plants might be very tempting to a rabbit that I had recently seen a couple of times in our yard.

And then, oh no!  As I opened the patio door I could not believe what I saw.  It had happened…one of the new plants was completely disconnected and two of them had lost two-thirds of their leaves.  Although I had sensed a warning when I planted the seedlings, I didn’t do anything about it.  When my wife, Maria saw how disappointed I was, she said “Just think, you are raising a rabbit, too!”  Wow-what a great perception!  (That’s why I love and respect her so much!)  However, a minute later, as she came in from the patio she then exclaimed: “A bad rabbit!”  I just laughed, but she’s still so cute!  Thank you, Lord!
