Ash Wednesday is an ancient church tradition setting aside 40 days before Easter (not counting Sundays) to prepare ourselves spiritually to observe and benefit from Christ’s suffering, death and Resurrection. This year Ash Wednesday falls on the 14th, which is also Valentine’s Day. As we begin the Season of Lent, we invite you to Christ United Methodist Church on Ash Wednesday for “Walk-In Ashes” anytime between the hours of 12:00 noon and 4:00 pm, or join us at 7:00 pm for a Service of Worship that will include ashes.
