TLS-Veterans is located in McHenry County. The site in Hebron has transitional living quarters for homeless vets, and the site in McHenry has peer counselors, employment assistance and a food pantry. The Mission Focus of the CUMC Mission Team for April is TLS (Transitional Living Services) for Veterans. This Sunday, April 22, Laura Franz, the Executive Director of TLS, will be one of the panelists on the panel discussion sermon: A Home in the Beloved Community. There will be an insert in your April 22 bulletin describing TLS and listing the items we are collecting. This insert was also in your bulletin the past two Sundays. We hope you are able to support this mission through your prayers, your attendance at worship on April 22, and by either donating items from our “shopping list” or by giving a financial donation. If you would like to give a monetary donation to TLS, please make the check payable to Christ United Methodist Church and write “TLS Veterans” on the memo line. Items and money will be collected through April 29, 2018.
