A number of members who attended our Game Changer retreat in April fell in love with the beauty and hospitality of the New Morning Retreat Center. They contacted Rev. Jenny Weber to see if they could come back again to work, enjoy, and help support New Morning’s mission.

We would love to have you join us as we continue to provide a place of beauty for our retreat guests! Upcoming work days are scheduled as follows:

…Friday or Saturday, July 6th or 7th
…Friday or Saturday, July 13th or 14th
Arrive at 8 am or after and enjoy working either inside or outside on a project of your choice.
Come by yourself, bring a team or some friends.
We will provide lunch, refreshments and of course, a swim in the pool.

I served 11 years in a similar setting, and I can tell you this from my experience: Manual labor in a place like this can be a sheer delight and an act of devotion. The work of your hands becomes a celebration of the healing power of hospitality and nature. Everyone is invited, even if you’re not up for physical exertion. You will be serving if you’re just keeping someone else company. You will be serving giving them your moral support. You will be serving by just getting to know this place better and letting others know about it. Hope to see you there!
