The Commission on a Way Forward’s final report has been made public in English along with details of proposed legislation to go to the 2019 General Conference Special Session. The Judicial Council published the documents on its October 2018 docket. The Council of Bishops had asked the Judicial Council, the denomination’s top court, to rule on whether the proposed legislation for the One Church, Connectional Conference and Traditional plans passes the constitutional test, which put them on the docket. The legislation initially wasn’t going to be released until after it was translated in the four official languages of General Conference. Click here to read the story.
