We would like to invite your congregation to a local, family-friendly event aimed at cultural enrichment and global awareness. The families of Prairie Ridge High School German American Partnership Program are working with local sponsors to host the first annual German-American Friendship Fest in Crystal Lake on Saturday, October 6th at the First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake. In this invitation you will find event details, links for tickets, and promotional materials. Bring your whole family to celebrate German Language and Culture at this family-friendly event! Registration begins at 10:00 AM and activities begin at 10:15 AM. Ticketed children (Ages 4-12 yrs) will learn German Games, Music, Dance, and Crafts from local German students and organizations. All registered children will be treated to an authentic German meal that is sure to please and take home a hand-made craft.
Parents and friends are welcome to enjoy traditional German Music and delicious food will also be on sale while children explore and learn. Parents and friends are admitted free with registered children and can join the festivities. Parents and friends, please purchase a meal ticket ($7.50) to ensure that enough food is prepared. Food will also be available for sale onsite, while supplies last. Please support our local exchange students and visit our Silent Auction for fantastic prizes. All event proceeds support local families’ efforts to send their students to Karlsruhe, Germany for a GAPP Exchange.
