McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) is offering two opportunities to get your flu shot in the coming week. The clinics are scheduled for:
…Monday, October 15, from 10AM until 1 PM in Woodstock at the McHenry County Administrative Building, 2200 N Seminary Ave.
…Wednesday, October 17, from noon until 2 PM at the MCDH Crystal Lake Facility, 100 N Virginia.
Clinics are by appointment only. You may make your appointment online at www.mcdh.info. The cost of the flu shot is $35. Medicare and Medicaid are accepted, you must have your card with you.
McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) encourages residents to get a flu shot as early as possible since it takes 2 weeks before providing protection. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone 6 months and older get a flu shot as the best protection against influenza. A flu shot protects not only you but those around you – especially infants and high risk individuals who can suffer complications from the flu.
