United Methodist Communications has launched a new campaign in the weeks leading up to the General Conference Special Session, Feb. 23-26 in St. Louis. The “Movement Continues” message is “The United Methodist Church has always followed God’s call to make disciples of Jesus Christ  for the transformation of the world.”  We do that in many ways and many places. Visit umc.org/movement to find stories of United Methodists responding to their own calls and more about our Wesleyan heritage as the people of The United Methodist Church.

Council of Bishop’s Letter to the global LGBTQ community – At the fall meeting of the Council of Bishops at St. Simon’s Island, Georgia, bishops approved a motion to send a pastoral letter to the Global LGBTQ community. A writing team, composed of a bishop from each central conference and jurisdiction, completed this task, on behalf of the Council. Click here to read the full letter.
