Each year before annual conference the bishop asks each congregation to bring funds specifically designated for a special project. This year Bishop Sally Dyck has selected the Outdoor Ministries of the Northern Illinois Conference. We presently have two camps and retreat centers. One of these is in Dixon, Illinois and a second in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. The conference would like to launch a new camp in Rockford, expand the one in Chicago area, and develop programs for the winter. Did you go to a church camp one summer? Do you see the benefits of outdoor life for children and adults? If so, please contribute loose change in the jar under the TV monitor during fellowship hour. If you would like credit for your donation, please place a check or change in an envelope. Write Bishop’s Appeal on the memo line if writing a check, and if using change or cash, write both Bishop’s Appeal and your name on the envelope. Please deliver your check by Sunday, May 26th. The counters need to deposit your money and the treasurer needs to write the check by the end of May.
