Free Food Resources for April, 2021
For those in our community who need extra food, please use these resources.
1. Choose the township which matches your address and call your local food pantry for
their current hours. When you go to one of the three listed pantries, take a recent utility
bill which has your address and a state identification such as driver’s license.
a. Algonquin and Lake in the Hills township residents: 1113 Pyott Road, Lake in the
Hills, IL. Call 847-854-1904 for times the pantry is open for clients.

b. Crystal Lake township residents: 42 East Street, Crystal Lake, IL. Call 815-455-0961

c. Grafton Township (Huntley and Lakewood) residents: 11481 Allison Court, Huntley,
IL 60142. Call 847-495-0922 for times the pantry is open for clients.

2. If you need more food than what is provided by your local food pantry, or if the times
are better for you, then drive to one or more of these food sites at appointed time. No
ID is needed at these popup sites. Currently, they are doing drive-up service. They will
have a prepared box/bag of food and may ask the number in your household. We have
listed all March sites in McHenry County and a few in Kane. Check this website for
more information: https://solvehungertoday.org. Then click on “Get Groceries” at the
top. Once you find “Get Groceries” page, “Mobile Pantry and Pop-Up Market
Distribution”. This list comes from the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
