The Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church is having all the districts collect different items for the health/hygiene kits. These kits are distributed by UMCOR & Church World Services. Pastor Lee would like us to help with this project. Linda Chodan has contacted Julia Jones of Church World Services for more information. During the month of April thru Sunday May 19 we will be collecting packages of 3 wide-tooth combs instead of the items that are listed on the flyer of www.umcnic.org A package of 3 wide-tooth combs for $1.00, are sold at the Dollar Tree. They do not want narrow tooth combs. I know we are also collecting money for the School Tool Box Program this month. I think we can get the 50 packages of combs with no problem. If you can’t make it to the Dollar Store you can give Linda Chodan your money & she’ll pick them up for you. There will be a basket on the table in the narthex for you to place the package of combs.
