In the church and in our Christian lives we can be very confused about happiness. What is true happiness for Christians? Actually, Jesus didn’t promise the happiness we see in our American consumer culture. Rather, he promised blessedness. Here is the Good News: God reveals this not only throught the birth of Jesus, but also through the teachings of Kingdom Life in his Sermon on the Mount. True happiness comes from the relationship with God so that we may live in God’s abundance in here partially, and in future fully.
