We’ve had a number of congregations responding to the invitation of the Northern Illinois Conference to host a Spanish as a Second Language class. The invitation is also extended for those who would be willing to teach the classes that teach us to answer “and who is my neighbor?” Nearly all our instructors are recruited through personal references. However, this general invitation is for any who would like to be apply to be a part of the program and be willing to interview with our SSL Team. Our instructors are those who have experience in teaching and have a high level of competency in the Spanish language. We are asking for any who would like to be teachers of these classes to let us know by e-mailing ssl@umcnic.org AND mmann@umcnic.org. A small stipend is available.
