This week some of you probably received the letter that you sent to yourself 100 days ago. What has happened during the past 100 days?  During this time we have journeyed together seeking Hope. After visiting different stations to experience Jesus’ Passion, we came back to the worship center and saw the cross with nails and lights we lit.  And then we took time to reflect where we are and where we want to be in six areas: Relationships, Self-Esteem, Work, Tempting to Quit, Money, and Suffering.

As I opened my envelope this morning, I realized that I have not yet reached many of my goals. As a result, I was little bit disappointed. However, as I re-read my letter again and again, I realized all of my goals are still worth challenging myself to accomplish. For example, in the area of “Tempting to Quit” there were two of goals: “To be able to freely and comfortably play the F chord on the guitar” and “Working on achieving weight loss both for the glory of God and for demonstrating my love to Maria.” I am still practicing playing the “F” chord, and riding my bike, but neither of these two items are even close to my goal for each yet. So this morning I added a line under the “Tempting to Quit.”  And this is an example of why the Journey is to be continued!

Peace,
